The delegation of the Republic of Serbia is to participate in the 65th regular session of the IAEA’s General Conference (GC) between 20 and 24 September this year. Given the health and safety measures and restrictions in Austria in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, for the second consecutive year, the Conference will have changes in the organization and limited number of participants.
The delegates from 173 Member States are expected to take part in this year’s GC, and the application for membership of the Agency has been submitted by a small Caribbean island country in the Central America – the Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis.
This year as well, the GC65 events and meetings will be the opportunity to discuss the most important issues in the remit of the Agency, to adopt the Annual Report for the previous year, to consider and approve the Programme and the updated Budget for the next year, and bring decisions on any issues submitted by the Board of Governors, the Director General or a Member State between the two sessions.
