The representatives of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate (SRBATOM) attended the two-day meeting of the National Liaison Officers (NLOs) with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) which was last week held in Zadar, Croatia.
This meeting is of great importance for all participants in the preparation of the technical cooperation programme for the next project cycle 2026-2027 as it contributes to better understanding of all necessary steps, procedures and duties in the process of preparing, applying and implementing the projects of technical cooperation with the IAEA, especially having in mind that the great number of the institutions of the Republic of Serbia applies for and participates in these projects.
SRBATOM representatives had consultations with the IAEA officials about the procedures relating to the preparation and submission of the regional and national project proposals whose implementation is supported by the IAEA, as well as relating to the establishment of the Technical Support Organisation – TSO.
This year’s NLO meeting was attended by 33 representatives from the IAEA Member States.
