During the 67th IAEA General Conference, the representatives of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate attended the National Liaison Officers meeting for Member States from Europe and Central Asia.

The discussions during the meeting focused on the activities within the ongoing technical cooperation cycle. However, this was also an opportunity for the IAEA representatives to present regional and interregional projects in the following cycle, the realization of which is to commence in January next year.

While emphasizing the priorities and challenges in the region, Eve-Kulli Kala, Director of the IAEA’s Technical Cooperation Division for Europe said, ”strengthening of the influence of the Technical Cooperation Programme and the related activities is our key priority. This implies continuous improvements in the project design quality and professional management of the project realization, which, in turn, requires mutual responsibility and joint efforts, as well as commitment of all of us.”
