In September 2019, our experts took part in “Regional Training Course on TRS 483 Dosimetry of small static photon field used in external beam radiotherapy”, which was held in Zagreb.

The scope of training course, which was organized at University Hospital Centre “Sestre Milosrdnice” and University Hospital Centre Zagreb, consisted of lectures, discussions and practical sessions on dosimetry of small static photon field used in external beam radiotherapy.

Dosimetry is an important segment of the work of medical physicists in radiotherapy and any additional knowledge or vocational development in this field contributes to the improvement of our institutions, both in terms of delivery of more precise and accurate radiotherapy treatment and its increased safety. Participation in this training course will facilitate the transfer of knowledge to colleagues and counterparts in the home and other related institutes, which is all seen as instrumental in having better and higher quality treatment of patients.
