17 – 21 June, Sarajevo – The representatives from Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate participated in the regional workshop on Graded Approach Implementation regarding the use of radiation sources, technical services, new technology approval, inspection oversight, and implementation of legal provisions.

The workshop participants addressed the practical issues where graded approach cannot be applied. Through a range of lectures and exercises and concrete examples, the workshop pointed to the manner of applying graded approach in certain areas to achieve as efficient and approachable implementation of regulations as reasonably achievable, both for the users and regulatory bodies.

The organizers of the workshop also arranged a visit to the Department of Radiotherapy and Department of Nuclear Medicine in the Clinical Centre of the University of Sarajevo.

The Regulatory body of Bosnia and Herzegovina organized a formal dinner for all the participants in the region.
