Based on the data from the system for information exchange on nuclear incidents and emergencies maintained by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the official reports from the institutions of Ukraine for the past 24 hours, there are no claims of elevated radioactivity levels in the environment surrounding the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
Based on the data obtained by Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate, the increased gamma ray ambient dose equivalent rates have not been detected so far in our country. So far, the measured gamma ray dose rates in the Republic of Serbia have been in compliance with the variations in the background radiation and are consistent with the location of the measuring instruments, as well as the expected seasonal fluctuations.
