The delegation of State Regulatory Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by its Director Ivan Lasic, made a one-day official visit to SRBATOM. On this occasion, SRBATOM Director Sladjan Velinov together with his associates presented the guests with the business operations of the regulatory body of the Republic of Serbia and introduced them with the current activities and future plans in SRBATOM.
The two Directors, Velinov and Lasic, agreed that there is a lot of room for the expansion and improvement of cooperation between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of radiation and nuclear safety and security, primarily as these are two neighbouring countries with historic connections, especially from the period of being a part of the same state federation in the past.
Members of State Regulatory Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety of Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed their satisfaction with the opportunity to gain this valuable experience and get insight into the steps Serbia had taken in order to enhance its radiation and nuclear safety and security. Both sides agreed that this type of meetings are a great way to exchange information and experience between the states in the region. As a result, these meeting should be organized on a regular basis and include as many regional countries as possible.
