The representatives of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate held a meeting on 28 September 2022 with the representatives of Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority – HAEA, in line with the bilateral agreement signed in 2015.

This meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on the current status of nuclear facilities, and on the activities planned for near future. The representative of the Directorate informed their Hungarian counterparts on the results of the environmental radioactivity monitoring in the Republic of Serbia, as well as on developing the network of the measuring stations in Serbia.

One of the outcomes of the meeting was the agreement to work towards organizing the visit of Hungarian representatives to the Republic of Serbia. As a reminder, this visit was planned for the spring of 2020, but was postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
