Assistant Director at Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate, Mr. Branko Brajic participated in the panel discussion at the two-day “Look Up” conference, held on 07 and 08 December on Kopaonik.

Since the outbreak of Ukrainian crisis, Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate, commensurate with its powers and competences, has increased the level of preparedness and activities in radioactivity monitoring in the air in the Republic of Serbia.

The Nikola Tesla Museum celebrated today 70 years since its establishment. The numerous invitees attending the celebration were hosted by Ivona Jevtic, Director of the museum, Sladjan Velinov, Director of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate and Chairperson of the Board of the museum, and Zoran Vapa, Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of the museum.

The Symposium on the application of International Safeguards is organized by the IAEA every four years and aims at bringing together the global stakeholders in support of the IAEA safeguards.

On 24 October, SRBATOM Director, Sladjan Velinov as the host, officially opened this international event under the name of “Regional Workshop on Public Information and Communication: Standards, Mechanisms and Challenges for Regulatory Bodies for Nuclear Safety and Security”.

The representatives of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate on 29 September attended the meeting of the National Liaison Officers with the IAEA, Division for Europe (TCEU) within the 66th General Conference.

The representatives of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate held a meeting on 28 September 2022 with the representatives of Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority – HAEA, in line with the bilateral agreement signed in 2015.

Thanks to the initiative of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate, the multilateral meeting with the representatives of the regulatory bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Northern Macedonia, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro was held yesterday.

The delegation of the Republic of Serbia participated in this year’s Scientific Forum with the theme Rays of Hope: Cancer Care for All. This two-day forum, on the sidelines of the 66th General Conference was opened by the IAEA Director General, Rafael Mariano Grossi.

On behalf of the Republic of Serbia, today at the General Conference, H.E. Zarko Obradovic, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Serbia and Head of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the OSCE and other international organizations in Vienna, gave the Statement.
