The Agreement on business and technical cooperation between Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate (SRBATOM) and the Serbian Nuclear Society was signed between Sladjan Velinov, SRBATOM Director and Prof. Dr. Koviljka Stankovic, President of the Serbian Nuclear Society.

As parties to the Agreement, these two institutions, in accordance with their Statutes, undertook to make use of this cooperation to fulfil their mutual goals, in particular:

• Promotion, development, enhancement and transfer of knowledge in their remits
• Accomplishment of societal, educational, professional and scientific activities in the field of peaceful use of ionizing radiation and nuclear energy
• Affirmation of the profession and science, as well as defining the bases for regulations and standardization in the field of peaceful use of ionizing radiation and nuclear energy
• Education of the public, especially the young and children, on the importance of the peaceful use of ionizing radiation and nuclear energy from a radiation and environmental protection point of view
• Informing the public on the needs and particularities of the peaceful uses of ionizing radiation and nuclear energy on national, regional and global level, as well as on any other activities in their remits.
