The Statute of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) allows this organization to encourage and support research activities that address the use of nuclear anergy for peaceful purposes. In this respect, the IAEA budget and program ensures the conclusion of contracts (research, technical and doctoral) as well as the conclusion of research agreements with universities, colleges, research centers, laboratories and other institutions in the Member States on topics directly related to the activities of the IAEA.
