The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) experts and the SRBATOM representatives of the Unit for International Cooperation and Project Management visited the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia as a part of the first day of the official visit whose aim is to audit and evaluate the implementation of the project within the IAEA Technical Cooperation Programme.
The meeting was held with the Assistant Minister in the Department for International Relations and EU Projects in the field of health and the National Coordinator of the World Health Organization (WHO) for the Republic of Serbia, Dr Vera Stoiljkovic, which served to discuss the project Improving Diagnostic and Therapy in the Treatment of Chronic Diseases. The representatives of the Ministry of Health conveyed the guests from the IAEA the importance and the role of the Directorate in the realization of this project among other things.
On the same day, the members of this mission had an online meeting with the national counterparts from the Clinical University Hospital of Bezanijska Kosa and University Clinical Center of Kragujevac as the national counterparts for the project Improving Diagnostics of Cardiovascular Diseases and Identification of Sentinel Lymph Nodes in the Surgical Treatment of Breast Cancer and Melanoma.
