The open competition for the appointment of the Director of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate (SRBATOM) was announced on 21 June 2024 in the “Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”, daily newspaper “Politika” and SRBATOM website.

Based on the reviewed applications and submitted documents, their verification and confirmation of the candidates meeting the requirements established in the open competition for the appointment of the Director of the Directorate, the selection procedure was conducted between two applicants.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia on its session held on 25 July 2024, in accordance with the submission of the decision of the Board of the Directorate to the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the proposal for the appointment of the Director of Directorate, brought a written decision on the appointment of Sladjan Velinov for the Director of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate for the term of next five years.
