The Director of Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate, Mr. Sladjan Velinov, hosted today the CEO of African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), Mr. Eddy Maloka during his one-day visit to Belgrade.
APRM, headquartered in South Africa, is a mutually agreed instrument voluntarily acceded to by African Union (AU) Member States, which serves as a mechanism of self-control and evaluation of all relevant regulations in the African continent.
The mandate of the APRM is to ensure that the policies and practices of the participating Member States conform to the agreed political, economic and corporate governance values, codes and standards, and to ensure the supervision and evaluation of the AU Agenda 2063 and Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
Following the comprehensive and thorough presentation on the Directorate work and achievements in the previous period, Prof. Eddy Maloka expressed his utter satisfaction with the friendly atmosphere and everything he had the opportunity to hear and see in view of high standards in the work and commitment of the Directorate staff and Mr. Velinov as the Director.
